Oscar's Condo

You can build your own condo out of Neat Idea Cubes (found at Office Max, Sam's Club and Target, in the home organization area).   Below is a picture of Oscar in his NIC condo.  He's a small dutch, so his condo is 2 panels x 2 panels.  For larger bunnies, or more than one, you can expand the condo to whatever size fits your needs.  

An alternative for cages/condos is to use a tall puppy pen.  If your bunny is not quite litterbox trained, you can place the puppy pen on top of a scrap piece of linoleum (with throw rugs for footing).  If your bunny is litterbox trained, then you can purchase an inexpensive area rug at a discount store and use that over your own flooring.  Just make sure the puppy pen is tall enough to keep bunny from jumping out!  You can order puppy exercise pens from these websites:  www.kvvet.com and www.kwcages.com.

And my favorite housing option, but not always realistic for many, is providing bunny with his or her own bunny proofed room, blocking the door with a baby gate.  This could be a spare bedroom or a large bathroom.
